Any thoughts on braking in a new engine on e85 ? Or should I use race gas then switch over to E85 after motor has been broke in.

Gasoline, until you've made several full pulls.

This is what I do for new engine that hasn't been broken in on a dyno.

I do a couple of low rpm heat cycles & allow the engine to completely cool in between.

This next step I had a trusted birdy tell me to put it on the transbrake 2 or 3 times. I have a set procedure when doing this. Please take the appropriate safety measures while doing this! Also, if you have a sprag in your converter, don't forget about that.

IMO, this loads the engine pretty good. I've done my last two engines like this, before going to the track.

I screwed this one up bad then. Started fresh engine on methanol, hammered it on the track right away.....Only thing I've had to do was retorque head bolts.....
