CURTIS REEDLarry, I saw your post on YB. I see you decided to go with a BB but have you seen these? Best of both worlds for us SB guys. LOL

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Larry WoodfinCurtis, I have seen that hybrid block and find it interesting. Do we know anyone who has built one and what the results were?
And I am all over the fence about which engine, so the options are wide open. [so to speak]

Larry WoodfinBruce, it will be way cool. Jeff found it a few years ago, and we have had it stored. It was originally bought new by Rick Mososo. He drove it from the dealer to his shop, and those are the miles it has rolled up. He ran a 10.5 tire class for a few seasons, then retired it. I think it will be relatively light, about 2700 with a small block.

Larry WoodfinCurtis, one thing about the hybrid block: it looks like it does not allow the extra head bolts, which might be an issue.

CURTIS REEDLarry admittedly I don’t know much about or LS stuff. I just thought it was interesting because it uses modern high flowing heads with the bottom end I am familiar with.

Larry WoodfinCurtis, after some research, I do not like the hybrid block deal.

Larry WoodfinOn the rotisserie. The tubing has surface rust, so now I can move the Vette into the a/c soon. Clean the tubing, primer, and paint.
Also, the square 10 will be finished soon, so I can play with it and work on the Vette.

CURTIS REEDYou're definitely moving on with it.

Larry WoodfinCurtis, I have "old" friends who come help because of pity.

They understand about my waning strength and stamina because they are the same way.
The rotisserie is an extended family piece that stays with whoever used it last until someone else needs it.
Now that the Vette is mobile, I will finish the Square 10; it is almost ready.
Then, I will be able to move the Vette in and out while I clean and prime all the bare tubing.

FootbrakeJimWow, Larry, that is a great looking Vette! You always do such a nice job on the exterior of your projects, but that body looks like it doesn't need much attention. I guess that will free up your time for the mechanical and ****pit work!
