chevy truck computer programming
Good evening. 1998 Chevrolet 3500HD. 454 gas engine. The one with persistent tranny shift problems. Looking for input on who I should look to for programming a replacement computer. Also, anyone I should avoid.

Short recap, New ignition switch, shift solenoids, internal wiring harness, speed sensor and rebuilt tranny. New shop says Computer issue. They swapped it and it's running like crap. Truck has an older Whipplecharger and they think the replacement computer doesn't like it. They're unable to pull any info from the original one.

Thanks.

Have you considered a 411 PCM swap? It's not that difficult and would give you a lot more options in programming. Plus the tuners that handle C5 Corvettes and Camaros are familiar with tuning them.

Organized people are just too lazy to look for their $h!t.

Never heard of them til now. I looked it up and looks like a good option. Spoke to the shop that has my truck about it. He's familiar with them. mentioned that would take a bit of work in respect to re-pinning the factory connectors. Also would need to hit a chassis dyno to tune it properly. Definitely not out of the question. Thanks.
