442OLDSK&N Cold Air Intake for 2018 Silverado
I have a gift card to use from K&N,so I was thinking about buying this.
https://www.knfilters.com/mobi...6hy54gQaAuk0EALw_wcB Just wondering if anyone on here has one and any advantage at all or problems associated with it?
Supposed to pick up 10 horsepower, pick up gas mileage, and make the truck sound "cool".

Woody BI'm not a fan. When I worked at a GM dealer I saw a bunch of various model vehicles with Mass Air Flow codes/problems caused by aftermarket air intakes. (maybe not K&N, though.) I'm not a fan of the sound either, but that's subjective. If I had a K&N certificate I'd get a bunch of oil filters. I'm not a K&N hater. I had a K&N air filter on my race car. I'm just not a fan of brand new vehicles with check engine lights on that make a bunch of noise.

CURTIS REEDJust remember. The only way to get more flow is to filter less.

len281I had nothing but problems with a K&N in my Ram. I put a replacement from Napa and cured the CEL issue. That being said I use their air and oil filters exclusively in my race cars.

Only true IF you are stuck with the same filtering surface area.

Don't throw logic into my conversation. LOL Yes you are right. I guess I assumed the filter would be very similar to the OEM.
