My take on this from helping and watching a recent world champ is that he has ran both brand of tire. Here is what i can tell you. With the Hoosiers he got at least double if not triple the amount of passes out of them compared to the Mickey. I have been there when we installed a brand new set of Mickeys and made one pass only to remove them and take them back because they shook so much but this was going down track. I have seen them chunk with less than 20 passes and recently there is an issue where they seem to be splitting in the center at the seam. The air loss is only minor as long as you don't leave it in the trailer for more than a week.

I love my Mickeys but the air leakage is a PITA!You would think they would have taken care of this by now.

The tire battles will never be put to rest...just a guess. Power Tool

That is somewhat true, but some cars are MUCH harder to find the sweet spot than others. With those cars a tire with a larger sweet spot makes life much easier, especially when you add in changing track conditions...……..

And I totally agree. It is a question (?) No I’m not saying others are not working on their cars. I’m saying it takes a bunch of runs and testing to find what works for that car. Dead on Brian, some cars will not like what everyone else runs.
I am smart enough to know there is a huge difference between TD and TS setups also. I make it a point to watch and video TD. It’s great information.
