Built another more "appropriate" bracket Gen3 Hemi for the Cutlass. I'll probably run both engines this year.

Although, running 6.50's at 3200+ lbs with a smooth idling, pump gas motor through the mufflers and going mulitple rounds every time out, it will be hard to mess with that combo.

I'm going to pull the engine and check the main/rod bearings for wear. I am also going to pull the heads off and install thick headgaskets in the hopes of being able to run cheaper fuel. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

I’ll take one just like that too. If she can cook and keep the motor home clean even better.

Just got my engine back together after a rod swap. Freshened the trans, added a external converter dump valve to play with on the launch. Also adding a 2nd AC to the trailer, a mini split to make it a little more comfortable in the Texas heat since we live in it at the track most of the time.
Fired it up this weekend and did a couple of heat cycles now I need to strip the valve train back off an re torque the heads.

Both trans freshened and ringless input shafts and pumps by Abruzzi, getting three convertors redone, one as before, another a little looser and one a lot tighter just to play with.

Motor only has about 110 passes on it so it should be good through the middle of the year.

New slicks and getting a new adjustable wing for the dragster, the current one is hard set at 19 degrees before tire growth, I am sure there is some mph sitting there for me.

Brake pads and new brake fluid in both systems.

Getting more sensors (vacuum, boost, EGT) for the IQ3 and get a button to where I can actually change screens, LOL.

New airbags on the motorhome.

As much pre-race prep as I can. 36 races (including double entries) scheduled. All within 110 miles of home. 3-$25K, 4-$11K, 9-$7K, 6-$5K. Iowa has some great bracket racing coming this season. Hope the lil 406 has another 350 runs in it.
