I like reading your replies to this type of carb thread(s). You are a little biased on your opinion. I think you stated you have never used a carb for racing.

I have three carbs on the shelf, they are tried & trued to work very well/win on the combo(s) they were tuned for! I'm also currently using EFI & it works well/wins & I'm still learning!

The point being, the results of a carb, MFI or EFI working correctly is the responsibility of the end user/tuner!

The point being is there’s probably 25+++ different race carb manufactures, builders, distributors and the OP wants to know the “really good” ones. Wouldn’t most be good if they’re still in business? Or, which should one avoid and why?

I don’t see this issue with mfi/ efi.
