wideopen231Care for magnesium parts finish
Having had magnesium parts for 25 plus years you would think I would have found a fool proof way to care for finish and keeping it up. WRONG.
Wondering if any here might know of something that works great for keeping the finish looking like new?
I know not norm on bracket car, then when the hell did I claim to be part of norm.Always said I was going to try normal one day just seems so boring.LMAO

bry-warDow 7 is the original BAE/BNR-Veney "greenish" valve cover chemical conversion. Surface prep is key.

wideopen231yea care for dow 7 is issue. Its great till it is not kind of stuff. These are older VC's and finish is good but sitting in trailer for a week the humidity got the fuzz started.
Have waxed them in past and seen little to no difference.

Dave KoehlerIf you have something polished such as Halibrand mag wheels I used a rattle can clear coat with success.
I have had wonderful results using Gibbs brand oil on polished or bare metal.
I would give that a try once you figure out how to get rid of the mag fuzz.

David CoveyI have a PSI blower hat that I had carbon fiber hydro dipped. Looked good for about 5-6 years. But I kept sitting wrenches on it and skinned it up a little. Actually still doesn't look all that bed.
