| Customer brought us a 427 SBC from a nationally known builder.made 602 HP on our dyno had run 10.50 in 3400# 68 Chevelle.It had AFR 227 heads .WE sent heads and a new Holley 300-110 manifold to our guy Johbby Hasak at CFM South.WE did a cam and then back to the dyno engine is 11.1 measured CR.WE made 677HP a 75 HP improvement,Back to the track running through a TH400 it ran 10.15 at 133MPH so far.Cam is 254 Int and 111 lobe seperation also LS Firing order.

| BIG SPEED knows and he is good at getting horsepower. I think it I will be hard for a pump gas 406 motor to make 700 HP with out making too many sacrifices for drive-ability and durability. Sounds good. This is a pretty good indicator how complicated it'll be to get to 700 hp 406 low compression. Heads ported and angle milled I'd imagine 427 cid. |
