I have a 2.5" hitch with a reducer and run a standard ball mount....no weight distribution or anti sway....I've never had any issues towing at any weight either, including my nearly 3500 mile trip back to Alaska, Three trips to Florida, and two to North Carolina......

I do need to replace my receiver though, it's getting pretty worn out, and the pin hole is elongating...so going with a Megahitch to replace it.....but not changing towing setup...

New dually has a big shank hitch.
I didn't care for using the sleeve, and I needed another 2" of drop with my old Draw-Tite trunion style leveling bars.
Found a made in USA unit.

I've had a Curt on my motorhome & my last 2 pickups (not 3" though), happy with them so far. Seem like good quality and the finish seems to hold up.

i use a curt 3" receiver with a 3 inch up offset. i don,t like the bushing adapters and all the looseness that comes with jerry rigging the hitch. the pin on my force is 5/8 so i had to drill out the hitch itself a little. i also went to adjustable air bag links that allows me to change the ride height at the ball 2 inches or so. your issue is going to be weight on the rear axle. look at a trailer toad.
