CorkyVac Pump Rebuild
Have a 4 vane moroso pump, need to replace the worn out front and rear bearings. The front one's easy to remove and replace....the rear one on the other hand isnt.
Anyone ever done this with any success? If so...how?
Thanks in advance

Big SteveYou have to take a die grinder and carefully grind the bearing to cut it in 2 pieces then it will fall out

banjoIf it's like the 3 vane, Pack the bearing shaft hole with grease, insert the shaft for the pump into the hole and tap it with a hammer. It will hydraulicly press the bearing out. I replaced the shaft in mine, so I just used the old shaft. If your reusing yours, be careful not to ding it up or use a plastic hammer.
Good luck

CURTIS REEDBill treed me on that. I was going to suggest that, just like removing the bearing in a crank for a stick shift.

CorkyThanks guys, will give that a try. My old shaft is toast, so it can be used to tap on.
