racerdude2054Door car seats
Starting a new car build to 25.2 specs and one of the decisions I’m currently most indecisive on is which seat to put in it. I like these 3 because of their: mounting, safety and comfort. You also don’t have to run ISP padding with them.
Looking to see if anyone has any knowledge of the three. The momo and racetech are sold by Tim Mcamis. The sparco is also fia approved like the other two. I get they they are expensive, not looking to cut corners on what I f art in though. A carbon bucket seat (not fiberglass overlaid with carbon) is 500 dollars and then you will spend another 600 dollars fitting it and setting it up with isp padding

imakehpHey ed, have you decided on the dates you'll be coming out to Vegas to race?

Would be more than one driver, so would prefer not to do the pour in seat. Mcamis says he prefers this style seat over the carbon seat with pour in and ISP surround padding
Just not sure if anyone has any real work experience with these seats or not

1320racerHe’s the man so I’d do as he says.

Al AlguireI would think with more than one driver a pour in would be the best as each driver can have his own insert. But to each his own I suppose.

N2OfrogI've sat in a couple cars with Racetech seats---they were a good fit for me and very comfortable.

Preferences vary, The ready to install SFI seats are convenient, but its hard to beat a pour in for both safety and comfort, also as mentioned - the option to fit other drivers with different inserts. I have used the kits from ISP, but I would strongly suggest that if you choose pour in, call Jeff Garvin @ SEATINSERTS.COM (Garvin Motorsports).
If you choose to go with ISP and have never poured a seat before….either buy two kits (one for learning purposes and one for the finished seat) or have at least three people in addition to the driver to help mix and pour - lol
(did I mention those kits are also about twice the price)

1320racerpouring the seat is easy, trimming it up to get proper fit is where experience comes in and takes time.
ISP Seats in Concord, NC is close enough to the OP not to do it himself.
