Does it look right? Maybe. I set my floats like Ed described. I just glance at the sight glass once set to get a reference to watch during the season in case I suspect a problem.

where the fuel is in relation to the sight glass is MEANINGLESS!

But since you set them properly mark your sight glass and if it changes you will know something is up.

Are all Holley floats calibrated so they shut the fuel off at right level in the bowl with exactly 3/8 or 7/16” from top of float to top of bowl? If so then what is he purpose of the sight glass or removable plug in the bowl?

with the bowl turned upside down, the proper setting for the holly float is .875 from center of the parting line of the float to the roof of the bowl. This measurement is good for most applications.

Best advice I can give here is to replace those fire hazard sight plugs with some factory brass plugs.
3/8's or 7/16's either will be fine for float level.

I just look at the very top line of the first post.

Including this one, there are only five posts from 2023 - all previous are from 2018.

And the first clue that this is a necro thread is the unhappy tinypic guy saying the pic is ancient history.

When you see that, check the date. Bot posting on old thread has gotten so bad the first thing I do is look at the date.

On mine even the first post doesn’t show a year only month and day.
