I have one set of these radials already with about 40 runs on them. I have a new set that's supposed to be delivered today. They will replace my M/T PBRs that are about worn out, pushing 200 runs. While I don't think the Hoosier is a better tire, they are very close to the M/T. I just wanted to give them a fair shake & put a good many runs on them to learn the tire.

So your opinion is they’re both the same on your car, pick your flavor. I was at a recent 250 single entry door car event and the majority of what I saw was bias, especially in the faster cars.

M&M,
My opinion is I don't think the Hoosier is a better tire, they are very close to the M/T. I also stated I wanted to give them a fair shake. This is a new tire/compound to me & have limited runs on them. Performance wise they run the same times. The thing that's most important to me is how the tire works under varying conditions: hot/cold tracks, different track preps, different surfaces, daytime/nighttime just to name a few. I have that data for my M/T PBRs & what I started on, Hoosiers CO6/C07 compounds in both lightweight & standard weight. The data tells me the M/T PBRs are the best tires for varying conditions. I'm keeping an open mind on this new tire/compound & giving them a fair shake!
As for your recent door car event, I'm not a Monkey See...Monkey Do kind of guy. I'm sure the majority were running carburetors also!
I do my fair share of winning rounds, getting into the money & winning on radials. I had no business being on a radial last weekend & I made it work for the win. The majority were on bias slicks...just saying; the bias guys probably had no business on that track!
2BKING is just sharing what does & doesn't work for his race program. There are many different ways to do things, I figure out what works for me.

Not saying radials don’t work, because they do. Going through the lanes that were always stacked 8 deep to see what racers that I’ve never seen were using. In the popular radial size/s you run I would have thought I’d see more radials. Of the radials I did see, MT was the majority. In bias Hoosier was the majority. They hired Mass Traction for track maintenance, and it was premier.
My car works the same on either MT or Hoosiers and think if I put GY back on it’d be just as good. Unlike you I don’t want to learn a new tire construction combination that already works.
I’ve always changed tires 175 -200 runs just because, but I’m leaving these on to see what they do with the cooler weather coming in the midwest and over 240 runs on them.
