Sudden slow reaction times
Son’s dragster went from semi finals the week before to .200 and .300 lights. What things do you look for as potential causes?

We are planning on replacing the solenoid. What spool are you referring to?

the one the solenoid pushes. Use a magnet to pull it out, sand it in a circular motion. Checked in a drill works well.

Depending on the valve body, some will not clear the hole in the case without loosening or removing the valve body, I know mine wont. But you can defiantly check how free it is with a magnet moving it in and out

Car slow everywhere or just RT?

If just RT, make a list and start with easiest things first.

Botton/Wiring
Solenoid etc

Last post is correct, look at the small things first. I had dirt in my transbrake button once.

If it was just .030 or so I would say change solenoid but .300 is an awful lot and I do not know if a weak sticky solenoid could even be that bad?

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I had a small mushroom get sticky, but it was only about .060-ish when it did it. A squirt of WD-40 cleared it up until I replaced it.

Anyone else report weirdness in R/T's?

.300 is approximately the entire amount of vehicle rollout for my slow ride.
