Who makes the best mini for bbc 14-1 comp. 12v system with standard flex plate.

You cant go wrong with either Meziere or House of Payne starters.

For the price I've had good luck with the Powermaster 9500. Small but mighty and fits well on a lot of oil pan configurations. Kevin

14-1 and mini starter just don't go together well.
I don't consider The Meziere TS400 or TS500 starters as Mini. Smaller then the early factory starters but larger then the current GM mini starter offering. Also larger then the PM 9400 or 9500 starters.

I've had good luck with powermaster 9450 and also the house of Payne stuff

Have very good luck with the IMI-902. it's a 2.0 KW starter.

Put a small block (153 tooth) flexplate on it and the starter will spin it over faster.

What about LS starters?

IMI-140-006 for the LS (2.0 KW)
