DRR Top Comp |
I was reading something on another site. Came across post about 458 vs 48* lifter bore cams. Funny story. When running funny carf. I had bought 3 new TFX-92 blocks. Had ggod year money wise. New cranks, rods pistons and cams. Basically new short blocks. We rand 4 or 5 races and damn car would only run 6.08,remebering low 5.90 was strong run back then. Was chacking cc when moving cam and noticed whoile right side down on CC. Made a call to buddy Ralph Gorr and he told me check can it is 45* and you need a 48*. Like always smarta-- was right. Heck did not spec raised cam and did not know was std feature with TFX stuff. Had always had KB stuff before. Just another high dollar lesson.LOL Figure someone might save tghe run cost b4 figuring this out with simple cc check and if right side all down. Check cam! America home of free. Brought to you by 2nd amendment. | ||
