Anyone ever use there shaft setups and what is your opinion on them?

They have their place, it's all about price point, power and intended usage. All you need to know is that you won't find them under the valve covers of any of the nationally known Professional engine builder's bracket and sportsman Pro Series engines who's customers account for the who's who of bracket and sportsman class racing but you most likely will find them on a street/strip engine assembled by a shade trade mechanic and those working out of a storage unit that claim on internet forums to be a engine builder in an attempt to lighten the pockets of the naïve, misinformed and clueless.

That said, the gold standard for bracket and sportsman class racers is T&D.

Like Ed said t&d. At that price the t&d sportcomp series rockers are what you want if they will fit the heads you are using. I just installed a set on the heads for my new 388 sbc and couldn’t be happier with them.

Thank you. Looks like the crower all steel are REALLY nice too but they are expensive even compared to the T&D or Jesel. The AFR 220 head is limited to a 5/16 pushrod unless you go to a shaft system and there are limited setups for that configuration. I appreciate the feedback.

I have 2 identical sets of Brodix DS 225 on 388 sbc. The first one has Jesel Sportsman and the second Crower. If you can afford the Crower you won’t be disappointed.

Compared to T&D and Jesel steel? T&D steel for my Track 1 heads are $2250.

Sir, you don't need 3/8 pushrods, you need 5/16 pushrod. My 427 has 5/16 pushrods.

Use the stud mount rockers you have, they're fine. In conjunction with 5/16 pushrods.

I didn't see a jesel or t&d steel set for the AFR220 heads. I called T&D they told me PN2319 for 220 eliminator heads. Jesel has there sportman....both aluminum rockers. Not saying they dont have them. The crower steel were around 2100 with bushed. All nice stuff. T&D and Jesel aluminum were right around 1300 to 1400. Honestly I will probably go with the stud mounts this year that I already have. They are comp magnum steel and they are decent add a nice set of 5/16 .120 wall pushrods and send it. Would like to upgrade but I dont think it's in the budget this offseason.

I truly appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

I have used them on SBC Dirt cars with AFR heads. Working well since 2018. Some pushrod clearance was required if using 1.5 ratio.
Just put a set on a ford 302. Just bolted them in. Will hit the track this season.

I have ran the scorpions on a set of AFR 220s with 255lbs on the seat and around 740 open pressure with a .688 lift. I used 1.6 rockers on both the intake and exhaust, the fit was nice and the durability was also good, no problems at all, with three years and right at 600 passes on them. I have a set of Jesel sportsman rockers on a set of AFR 220s and a set of T&D sportsman, on a set of Dragon Slayers. I have talked with all 3 companies and set up all 3 heads of mine. I liked Scorpions customer service the best. T&D was the simplest to set up, for me; not that any of them were that difficult. I can not attest to the durability of the T&Ds, as I just installed them. I have had zero issues with the Jesels. The only drawback I see with the Scorpions is, they aren't as popular, if you do break one at the track it will be harder to find a replacement.
