Big SteveCleaning Lexan windows
Installed all new Lexan in the PST s10 project in the off season. Whats everyone using to clean and polish your lexan to keep like new? Don't want to scratch them while cleaning. In the past I have used Lucas slick mist and mico fiber towel but not sure that is the best option. I tried the Meguiars plastic polish and wasn't impressed.

DARTSPORTOptic Armor told me to use Invisible Glass, and micro fiber towel. Works great. Also works very good on regular window in my normal
vehicles.

EmanI've used Novus and plastic magic. When washing the car I just wet it down good and use the car wash on it. My windshield has been in there over 20 years and the first years were on an open trailer, still looks good.

Canted ValveThe principals of cleaning photography lens "glass" is applicable to nearly all glass cleaning. 1) Use compressed air to dislodge as many would-be scratching particles as possible. 2) Use a very soft brush to brush away as many scratching particles as possible. 3) Use cleaning fluid to float as many particles as possible then use lens safe cloth to complete the cleaning process. I believe some of today's ceramic coating that neutralize particulate attraction may have a place in lexan maintenance. Just my 2 cents.

Triple NickelAll depends on if its scratch resistant lexan or not. If its regular old lexan if you look at it you will scratch it, if its scratch resistant type, microfiber and your favorite cleaning solution. Rinse off heavy grime if present with copious amount of cleaner and or water then clean with microfiber and cleaner. Don't use brake cleaner and or carb cleaner.... LOL

Big SteveJust to update I did some research on the Invisible glass that was suggested and found nothing but good reviews from detailers, I bought a can of the Invisible glass spray foam for around 6 bucks at O'Reilly's and it works great, using the 2 microfiber towel method, it cleaned and left zero streaks and a very nice shine, very happy.

Al AlguireFWIW these were 10 year old lexan windows when this was taken. Most folks thought it was glass. Always cleaned with plexus and a clean microfiber. Not a scratch on them.
Ill have to remember the Invisible glass trick if we ever go back to Lexan. I am enjoying my glass power windows in my truck for now
