Al, yes pig fat and that thing hauls a$$, NICE! From the pic, looks like plenty of room on top of the carb as is imho. Can the tube heights be lowered? Make a run with the hood off and tell us how much faster it is/n’t.

See if you can find a simple Lexan type scoop to borrow, do a back to back to back, hood on, hood off, hood off with a scoop and see how much difference there really is

We have talked about a hood off run for sure. With an air cleaner on.

And yeah she runs ok for a 3100lb truck
