If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Sent both my MW Pro Stock aluminum 3rd members back to Mark Williams for new gears/rebuild at the end of the 2019 season. They told me the gears looked almost new and in fact sent me the gears back for spares and all I’ve ever run is 2 quarts of Mobil 1 75w-90 synthetic gear oil up to that point and both units had over 700 passes on them. Now 3 years later, using Lucas 75w-90 synthetic gear lube, I imagine both 3rd members have in the 600 run range.

Mike FrizieI was told not to run synthetic by moser. I run Lucas non syn 75-140.

Brad OwensThanks everyone. I've been using Lucas 75W-90 Synthetic for years. I also was recently given the advise by a well respected manufacturer not to use synthetic. Lucas has worked well for me, I'm just going to stick with it. Thank you for your responses.

1320racerThere is no good reason not to use synthetic gear oil.
