Anyone on here done that swap? LS Chevy into a 2008 Ranger? Race only, nothing trick. Firewall? Headers and any crossmember issues? Front suspension ideas? Just want a mid or high 11-second weekend racer. Thanks! Jok

I did a 351c and later on a 460 in a 91 Ranger. The 460 fit surprisingly well once the heater box is removed.

I like the idea of a Ford Ranger build. They are a good looking truck and I think the market holds many low cost "cores" in good condition. I expect the Ranger will be no more difficult than any typical buildup. Larry Woodfin

And I realize it off topic, however, I also like the idea of a Colorado/Canyon GM build. Larry Woodfin

Been done many times I'm sure, Rnagers are dirt cheap 5.3 LS engines a dirt cheap makes for good combo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1G2n-2YgCTY https://www.therangerstation.c...apped-ranger.175450/ Meziere Tech. Make sure your water pump is on whenever you check your coolant level.

Thanks, got some good info to get started. Want to keep costs low. Footbraker or maybe No Box. Will use Powerglide and a basically stock 5.3. "Strange-R-Ranger" is in it's infant stages ;-)
