Making more power now than I used to. For dragsters over 1000 hp, is shifting on the stop the way to go? Is it particularly hard on anything? Build a lot of converter heat? I'm a little concerned about what will happen when the power comes on in first gear. Foxtrot Juliet Bravo

just shift right after flash or in that area and it will be fine.too soon and rpm will drop too much.too late and oposite effect.lots of variables of course, stop rpm ,converter ect honesty is the best policy, insanity is a better deffense 1.036, 6.16@ 224

I shift at .300, quicker is better for better RPM rise control. Each car is different though. I see nothing wrong with .500 but when I did that my RPM would rise until it shifted. I always try to eliminate every negative variable. Crew Chief Pro 7.980.
