Any bodymen on here?

I’m working on a 1965 GMC pickup that use to be my Fathers truck.

Does anyone know how much of a gap there is between the interior roof and the outer body skin on the top of the cab?
I need to know how long of a screw I can safely use without penetrating the outer skin.

Not very much room up there as I recall keep em short as possible push on headliner to try to locate roof reinforcements. Also look for a body service manual good luck!
