Tube chassis car with 406sbc and 1.80 glide. Currently running 4.10 with 33in tire. Best et 6.07 in the 1/8th at 110mph. Not sure on the weight ,but it's light.

needs a 5 series gear for optimum ET. If wanting to max rpm in the lights than a 4.86 gear is the least you want.

Heck I run a 4.88 in my roadster with a 32” tire and 1.76 glide. I’m going through at 6950 @119 in good air and 6800 @117 in August air. 388 small block and footbraked.

Depends solely on the torque converter. 6.07 110 mph at what rpm?

Gasoline or Methanol?

Thanks Ed, that was my thinking also.

The obvious answer just about anyone could surmise, even someone new to drag racing, is it needs a lower gear ratio.

If you want the advanced answer, in order to pre-determine how much lower and how much impact it'll have on performance, you look at the rpm at the stripe currently.
