2019 200" Danny Nelson my car seems to work just the same if not better than anyone else's, I would argue they are smoother than a long car been 4.40's with mine and 187 in super comp, To each there own!

I would say the obvious advantages would be 1-driving the stripe 2-easyer to store 3 less weight

It would sure be nice for trailer space! I saw a guy at Memphis that had two in the trailer. Looked slick. didn't I see a picture once of how they haul them in Europe? Fold up or something.

The advantage of shorty is easier to load and work on. They take up much less room in your garage or shop and do not drag the ground as easy.
Chassis tuning to make it work right may be a little different and less forgiving but they should work fine. If you want one then get one.

I like seeing different stuff and new ideas.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Agree with Curly. Since when did drag racing become a one size fits all sport.

I have said it before but bares repeating. At some point and time a guy showed up at dragstrip with a dragster that had shocks on it. I am betting more than one thought he was nuts.

If dragracing survives I think it will be a matter of time before most dragsters have front suspension and with that will be stiffer chassis and possibly shorter cars to.

Front suspension could make a huge difference on the shorty cars.

Not to change the subject but the future of drag racing is at a turning point should the administration get its way and New Green Deal gets stuck up us. While I do not think we will get the whole new green deal but I do think they are going to try to stick as much of it as possible up us.

Curly what you a prepossing sounds a lot like the altered in your picture-lol I know someone builds a long car with front suspension just can not remember who . have seen lots of shortys at big buck races some worked pretty good some not so much. I would not worry about electrics when mankind invents something new somebody always steps up and fixes it! Besides by the time they are outnumbering fuel cars we will be dust in the wind-lol

I have a Landshark thats been 7.46@181 here in Colorado...Typically in the 4.70 range at 148...runs low 4.50's@152 in Vegas. Its good enough to allow me to win multiple track championships with it. Longer cars are definitely smoother, but I really prefer the Shark.
