BuckyEFI consistency
Guts that run efi: do you allow any fuel correction based upon o2 readings? Or do you lock it down during eliminations?

markemarkI program the desired target AFR and enable the Closed Loop Compensation Limits % values to achieve it. I’ll also allow the Learn Parameters to run if I feel the tune I’m using warrants it.
Where and when I allow closed loop to start and % of correction almost never changes now that I’ve determined what works best for my engine the past five years.

seabassi use to, I do not any longer. I do think it is more consistent without correction...

ski_dwn_itGet the motor where it needs to be and lock it out.
Run different tunes for different weather - spring, heat of summer, and cool fall.

markemarkThought I’d share this with others that use EFI and methanol.
With 4.5 yrs service running these injectors in methanol and remaining in the engine intake during the five month off season, I recently removed and sent them back to FIC for cleaning. I paid the additional charge for the flow check prior to cleaning to see what condition they were in.
I still believe using closed loop with methanol is more consistent than not.

I'm using the same tuning strategy as M&M but I'm a relative newbie to EFI. I'm happy for the most part with my consistency. I do have some work to do with my extreme hot weather tune.
