The -9 sounds like the correct plug along with an Autolite AR 3932 or 3933, Autolite used to be a great plug, they dont last very long for some reason, not for me anyway. Shane Carr "Sugar Shane"

For those running with alky carb, what plugs are you using?

I ran the same -8 or -9 in the NGK. Never ran the autolites with alky. Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right. Here I am.......

Neither do I, but a 23* head- I have bb3 380. have you ran the -7 in really good air? around 50* about 400 ft corrected

I guess I can't tell you the best conditions that I've raced in, but I don't change plugs for weather. We are around 900' actual and don't get many race days with the barometer above 29 here. I run my carbureted 468 pretty fat, and the injected 632 would blacken plugs with the Primer Plus, so I use a little hotter plug to keep them clean. Both cars run fine on -8 as well.
