wideopen231cleaning ss welds
Any of the welders hd\ere know of something to clean or remove discoloration from welded area? Hopefully some hard rubbing and maybe polishing wheel will get them done. Suggestions?
Working on a set of SS headers for my 69 Panel since seems most all have a issue of some kind. Upside is can do a step set(did not say step tuned just HAWAG at steps) And choose cleector i waant
Would like to clean welds as I go to eliminate butt load of work once welded up.

wideopen231Not getting anything yet. LOL Still getting pieces. Want to get rid of coclors and have found out you need to clean with specail chemical that restores the material so as not to rust at welds. Can not remember name or process. Do klnpow spo,me toxic stuff. Aftear all the rust I have cut out of truck re welded in new panels for I will do whats is needed to avoid rust any where on truck exhaust included.
