Take a look and test drive the new Ram Dodge. They are impressive.

After a lifetime of GM products [and no complaints, GM has given me excellent service] I drove a Ram, then promptly when in the sales office and bought one.

After 1200 miles I am completely satisfied and consider it a quality product. Quite, smooth, refined.

All the new trucks are pretty darn nice (and expensive) I would probably go with the Ram also...………..the coil springs in the back really make them ride better than the others.

I have been GM for years as well...my son got a 2018 F250 with 18k miles on it recently. WOW very impressed by the way it drives and the comfort of the interior. NEVER thought I would like a FORD...

Only if Toyota would build a 3/4 or 1 ton truck... My Tundra by far is the nicest ride of any 1/2 i have driven... Plenty of power 381 hp ,but **** gas mileage lol..

I haven't been in a Toyota newer than 2015 but I have never cared for the ergonomics of their trucks. I have one we use for a shop truck and hate driving it.

Because my towing is now limited to one day, local races I decided on the gas, 5.7 1500.

95% of my driving is by myself, local running around.

Great Choice Larry. They have some huge factory rebates now.

I do think all 3 newer major truck brands are really nice now.

My 2011 Ram 1500 (loaded Sport w/ 148k miles) has rear coils and front struts that is best in ride forever from Consumer Reports and others, even with real truck rated tires (not P rated that come on most 1/2 tons). Hemi, 545 trans, 4wd, 3.92 posi, 17” tires and 10k# towing rated. Rams have great towing mirrors that are out of the way when not in towing position.

I’ve towed a 24’ 7k# enclosed from WI to NC / SC through Fancy Gap 3x this year and several times last year. Besides handing great, it’ll pull the North bound up hill grade at 60+.

Although I'm a Chevy racer I like the Dodge/Ram trucks. I'm on my third one. First was a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with the 5.9 HO Cummins. Second truck was a 2015 Ram 250 4x4 with the 6.7L Cummins, and my current truck is a 2017 Ram 4x4 with the 6.4L gas engine and 4.10 gear.

The 2017 6.4L is my daily driver as well as tow vehicle. Does great on everything except fuel mileage. 13 in town and 16 to 17 highway. Drives and handles MUCH better than the diesel which is 900 lbs heavier over the front tires.

I'd wait for the next giant sucking sound. I got this one during the last giant sucking sound cheap 2008. It's a little difficult to get financing during a giant sucking sound, but you'll save thousands.

The reason tow able trucks are 75k 85k now vs 50k 60k in 2008, is because the dollar is losing its purchasing power (inflation). It's not like they're any better today or more expensive to build. In fact, I believe GM is now building trucks in China.

My 64 C10 has coils front and rear. I believe coils at the rear goes all the way back to 1960 on Chevy/GMC half-ton trucks, but 60-63 has torsion bars at the front. 64 was first year for coils at the front, if I recall correctly.

I've been driving my 64 C10 every day pretty much since I bought it in 1996. Rides great Smile

Actually inflation has been pretty low for 25 years now, so I'll have to disagree. Big trucks are getting more expensive because of all the added content - more powerful engines, better transmissions, turbo diesels, extended cabs, crew cabs, luxury interiors, leather seats, navigation systems, bluetooth, etc. They're basically redneck Cadillacs. Trucks used to be like my 64 C10 - rubber floor mats, no radio, no anything - just a truck.

And everybody now thinks you have to have a giant $75,000 dually to pull a race car on an open trailer, or small enclosed, which just ain't true. In the 70's, my dad pulled a large RV all over North America with a stock Chevy Caprice - no drama whatsoever.

I wouldn't say the price increase is all inflation. in 10+ years we added DEF and a ton of electronics and way better transmissions. in fact since 2009 inflation has gone up 19%.

Yeah I know the rate of inflation we're given in the fake news. What we're not told is inflation is calculated differently today than it was 30 years ago.

If inflation were calculated the same today, Imagine how badly it would effect an already poor GDP.

No offense I respect your opinion based on what you've been told, mine is only to inform. You can verify mine easily with a couple google searches still, this will be changing in the not too distant future as well. Soon the net will also be all Lefty mainstream fake news globalist official story only.
