I have seen two very nice cranks break the snout off right behind timing gear like that. The lower timing gear has a sharp edge and a good crank has a larger radius, if that timing gear hits the radius it may create a stress riser and it breaks fairly smooth right there. That is not the fault of the crank or balancer that did it. And if you got 4,000 passes on that motor, I would consider building another just like it and not change a thing. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge. Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue. 4X NE2 CHAMPION. 2020 TDRA NE2 Champion

I would see if you could get Eagle to warranty that. When I see a broken crank topic the first thing that comes to mind is Eagle.... More times than not that is the case.
