head restraints
Looking at head restraints system.Last piece on safety list. Next gen seems to be popular choice. Anyone using, thoughts. If using other let me hear thoughts on those too.

Before I hear it yes need trailer in order to need any safety equipment, sorry going to have full safety equipment before going to track so its toss up.

I love mine. Easy to put on when sitting in the car. That said any of them will work so if possible try them on in a car. Everybody has different preferences so it is really subjective as to which one you might choose.

I have the Necksgen rev and my wife has the rev 2 lite. We’re both happy with them. Easy to put on, low profile. I don’t even know it’s rhere for the most part. Would never go back to a neck collar after wearing the Necksgen.

Same here. I feel much more secure in my belts also with the stiffness of the Necksgen on my shoulders.

I notice it after I get belted in and rolling up after being paired only because I tend to try and look around more. When I hit the waterbox I never think about it again until I am on the return road taking it off.

We got ours at PRI show last year. It was a very good deal. Just did paperwork there and they sent them out that week.

The Necksgen Rev from Jeg's is $469 for the med or lrg and the small is $375 with racer's discount. Probably as good as most. I don't know what SlickVic and do for you.

I had purchased the Hans with sliding tethers . I'm not happy with it , very uncomfortable an hard to un lip those quick release fastners on helment . Was at a nhra divisional race this spring , put down Hans for neck collar , tech guy checked was out of date like the seat belt rule , would not let me pass tech because it would have to be set in to re certify . I was able to dig out my ole neck collar in trailer to show them to enable to pass tech an race . Another $ grab , had purchased new a few years prior was only second time trying to use . I assume other brands that has been stated here also have date code recertification also ? I even was fitted for it , purchased off impact at us nationals along with helmet . But once you put on an get into car seems to put your head forward a little , feels uncomfortable to me . Maybe I'll look into the brand you guys are preferring on here .

I've used both in my dragster. Both were comfortable but I prefer the clips on the necksgen over the hybrid.
