we run our motors quite a bit hotter then a lot of people, stage at 170, mainly because we run back to back a lot. Like 12-15 minutes between runs for several rounds. So my 20-50 is pretty watery by the end of the day .991 60' 4.36 @ 159 so far..... 6.86 @ 198 trying for more...... 533" single carb 235" Harrison 4-link

Melling makes billet oil pumps. I've been running one since 2008. Everything I do gets one. sbc, the hot ticket is standard volume, high pressure. MADE IN USA, some of the other options, not so much.

Okay, I dug out the paperwork. Mine are only .083 wall with a .040 restriction at the rocker end of the pushrod.

this method actually makes a lot of sense. I'm thinking I may prime the engine on the stand with and without the restrictors in the galley and see what the difference is. There's a good chance the system is already restricted more the pushrod then the the galley restrictors would do anyway. Thank you to everyone that answered .991 60' 4.36 @ 159 so far..... 6.86 @ 198 trying for more...... 533" single carb 235" Harrison 4-link

Don’t forget that a hot running engine will flow way more oil then the cold one you plan to test. Lash opens up oil thinner. 2005 2000lb 4 link dragster home brew 582 BBC Dart 355 1.058 2.98 4.629@149 6.094 7.310@185

I believe if you want to keep excess oil off the rotating assembly, you'll run restrictors. "Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular." Dave Cook N375
