Wes May 950 carb on alky. My timing is a bit different though, 110 lobe separation with a 106 intake. I set it straight up.

What pistons are you using to get to that compression? 70 cc chambers are tough to get compression with.

I use a Diamond custom, heads are milled .025 (I believe to 67CC)

Well I give a update on this. Going to change cams this winter when I pull the motor to freshen it up. Plus a few other changes I have in mind.

But I put the cam back in at +1 and changed my oil pump Melling hv to a moroso billet oil pump. Reason I changed it was because I found the pick up tube broke. So to make sure that didn't happen again I went to a billet.
Oil pressure is a lot lower with the billet 30 at idle and 75 to 80 down track. SO when I got it back together I found my 950 carb was bleeding over in the front barrels again. So I had a brand new K and B carb (950 also) that I haven't used yet, so I put it on there to go race. Results was I picked tenth. 6.36 @ 106. Same mph but a tenth quicker in et.

Once I get my floats and needle and seats I will go through my old carb and change it out. I would like to see what made the big et difference. I think the oil pump probably helped it a lot. But I could be wrong. I want to try to do some A to B testing to see if I can figure it out.

Thanks all for the help.
