I’ve nearly knocked my teeth out enough with my current welded/braced/bubble gummed compressor.

What are you guys using?

The lsm stuff looks really nice but pricey for how often I’d use it!

I really like my LSM on the head type valve spring compressor so they would be the first I would look at for other type.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Checker and remover.

I do have a LSM spring checker and it's a very nice piece, I can only assume the quality is the same on the compressors LSM offers.

10 or 12 years ago I had a valve spring get away while installing it on the bench. Got me in the lip under my nose. Emergency room doc said it almost went through and was lucky I didn't lose my front teeth. They super glued me up, I grew a mustache to cover it, and I look at it every morning when I shave. I was using a standard shop type compresser.
