I have an FTI billet case powerglide that I need to borrow the input shaft out of it....it doesn't just pull out like a normal glide.....Why not?

Hung up on the wedding band.

You can put a rag around it and lightly tap it forward.

I little tapping and it came right out....it had a couple Teflon rings on the shaft I thought might be holding it up. (?) My old powerglide shaft had metal snap ring looking things on it

The rings go into the stator in the pump.
The wedding band is on the other side of the clutch drum.

So, the input shaft splines sometime get hung up on the wedding band making a little hard to pull out,
