again regard and Everyone with at least half a brain here is onto your bullshyt. Again, you have absolutely Zero first hand experience as to the OP’s question, this is way above your knowledge level. The adults in the room with first hand experience have spoken and it’s clear the OP should not waste his time nor $ running any other gear set but a 1.80.

Do nothing, know nothing "crate engine Ed" couldn't tell you what his own gear set looks like, because he's never seen it.
Much less how it works.

again retard, keep trying but I’ll help you by telling you I don’t know what another man’s ass hole looks like as you do.

Do nothing, know nothing "crate engine Ed" needs to stick to tech he knows, on items he's had in his hands.
Like car covers, battery chargers, tire pressure gauges.

That sonnax planet will cost anywhere from 2400 to 3000, depending on where you buy it from.
4.56 and the OP will be working with the same starting line ratio, agreed.
But what's to say that's what it wants? It has already set a trend in low gear going from a 33.5 tire to a 34.5 tire and a 4.10 gear not slowing it down.
That's a big change for low gear, to not slow down.
Hop up gearing high gear (4.56) and it might pickup.
You can't hurt a sonnax 1.58 - durable. I'd do it in a heart beat if I ran all 1/8 mile.
Anyone who understands how this really works, knows we're talking about high gear notlow in terms gearing.
In terms converter efficiency,we're talking low gear, depending on gearing according to the time slips. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mike Rietow,

At his power level, the cost is NOT going to justify et. Even IF it helps the car out, he MIGHT find .01-.02 at best. The cost of that planet is 3200+ retail, the cost of a ring and pinion is 500-600. That is a lot of money to spend on parts for something his ignition box is perfectly capable of fixing, if it cant be fixed with shock, 4 link, and tire psi.

It might be it ends up being the 4.30 gear it likes.
Follow the trend. Plus he has the 33.5 tire with either the 4.30 or 4.56 to fine tune the combo.
For me this is all easy peazy, just a matter of a little labor changing gears, gearsets and tires.

Also, the 1.69 planets have a come a long way in hte last couple years. O.p. is only making 1300-1350 hp with the e.t. he is running, and a 1.69 in a digger WILL take that, providing he is buying new, and not somebodys take outs

Retard, just so we’re clear you have ZERO first hand experience to the OP’s question and you insult many here in this thread not to mention the majority that post here and the boss Scott Lemen who too runs “crate engine(s)”

And spending 4000 in parts. Hell, you can buy some Davis parts for 4000 that will help take care of the issues.

It sounds like the OP has everything except the 4.56.
I'd start with the 4.30 anyway.
It'll be more like 5-6 hundredths it picks up, maybe more, boost is finicky. Get the converter just right (gearing) there's no telling what it might do.

Are you switching to a 1.80 or a 1.58?

JH - I've had 1.58's in my new cars for 2 years now. I've learned a lot. Went from 1.65's. Have always ran a 4.30, going to 4.56. I was WAY EXCITED until I read this thread! lmao

But hey... I also run a 34.5
The 4.56 should get that thing moving better down low to match that mph you already have
