Ed,
Kyle's brain and his momma will appreciate the lack of brain scrambling from the hoosiers Laughing Hard

Seriously, keep a set of hoosiers on another set of wheels. I am currently looking for a set of wheels i can do the same thing with, because there is some tracks that just work better with hoosiers.

Welcome to the slums of chit loads of weight added to balance the most tire leaking, smoothest race car your son has EVER driven.

And to agree, drivers win races, EVERYONE racing has tires on race cars.

TORQIN…KNOWS! Laughing very hard

That said, Kyle reported the empties were no smoother in the burnout, just didn’t bite where the Hoosiers normally do.

at least 1290 brave enough to come on here and tell us he tried the MT after all of the bashing about them. to me that says a lot. you may like them. you may not. but i appreciate the a-b comparison info from one tire to the other. when i ran that tire i ran 6psi. I would be curious if you notice any difference in them by going up a smidge on pressure.

thanks for the info 1290.

make a hit at 6 and see if they are better. the MT likes the air. i would just be curious to see if you see a difference.

i run 7 psi in that tire on my door car.

ep-good info you are sharing. also i think the higher psi helps the side wall life.

MTs on my Beretta leak like crazy.
GYs on the truck don't leak at all.

Maybe on a door car with some weight, on a dragster they are numb and will run the same with 4.8 to 5.8. And I would also say this applies to other brands as well!

If you had tires going flat in a couple of days, you were doing something wrong! Or you had wheel issues.

A coating of soap also goes a long way!

My last set of 3197 had over 300 runs on them on Weld bead locks and would not go flat! After racing I'd add air to 10 lbs then strap it down, with 3 weeks off the worst tire would still be 3.5 to 4 PSI and that's after 300 runs!

For all those that say adding air to these tires is a NO GO, just take a walk down the lanes in TD and count the cars running MT's over any other brand! There is a reason for this! I also see the same tread in bracket racing dragsters.

But it's a free country so pick your poison.

So you lose 6-6.5 psi in 3 weeks? Most people only run 6 psi so they would be flat when they open the trailer door. And that is acceptable? No thanks.

Dude, read the entire post!

And this is the whole story!

Tried 34.5 Hoosiers prior to running MT's years ago, could not do a burnout without massive tire shake coming out of the burnout 9 times out of 10 no matter how much water or rpm of air pressure or whatever you changed! How do you think the rear gears, trans gears the rest of the car feel about this? Changed to MT's and that all went away and the sweet spot of this tire down track was much wider than the Hoosier.

So, adding some air before I head out to the track vs busted gears and a beat-up car, you're so smart, you do the math!

Speaking of math, when I put the car away the rims and tires are still hot from racing,,, so how much AP do you lose from them cooling off! I think Tom Brady can help you figure this one out. Big Grin

You got 10 pounds of poop smashed in a 5 pound bag and you going to get mad at MT if they touch? Lol, you funny.

That shyt looks like Beverly Hillbillies with all that junk stuck in there.

Look at this cr@p, it is ridiculous and you should not be saying anything about others having too much weight or cr@p in their trailer.

Could you possibly put more shyt in there? What a joke.
