Testing power kill switch with Grid

When I tech my car (drag race) at the track, the tech guy wants to shut the kill switch off at the rear of the car, with the car running to test if it feeds back from the alternator and keeps running (it doesn't). My concern is I'm running a 7720/7730 Grid, can this tech test hurt the Grid system?

Turning OFF the Master switch while engine running will not hurt Grid. BUT, it is wise to instruct the tech that he can turn the switch to OFF, but NOT turn it back on again, leave it in the OFF position. Then you turn off all the panel switches, get out of the car and turn it back on.

The reason I preach this, is that it if you get a tech that turns it off and immediately turns it on again you could possibly have an issue especially if your using Holley EFI and digital dashes. The electronics don’t get a chance to bleed off any capacitance and can cause issues (ask me how I know).

markemark.... iyho would you recommend installing the MSD 8830 for insurance against any Tech inspection mishap?
