Question about ladder bars and shocks
These look nice.

I didn't even know shocks could cost that much...and they don't even bolt in. You have to do some welding for them to work. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Ive used Santhuff shocks for years. Great shock, easy to tune, like them better than the Afco custom tuned I had before. $1650 isn't big money for shocks anymore. We've installed shocks and struts from PRS that cost $20,000/pair. They also have air cylinders on top of the springs which some radial guys have been using. Trickle down technology from Pro Stock.

it sure is for bracket racers! I'll remind you this ain't the forum for for the go fast crowd, this is Bracket Talk and you ain't ever been a bracket racer.

Waylon ain't spending $1,650 on a pair shocks nor does he need to nor do 99.9% of those that post here with a door car.

Afco for the win...

Excellent product durable, worth every penny performance. You get what you pay for MADE IN USA.

If you have a 68 - 72 Nova - Camaro, you want the nose to land like you dropped a pillow 4" stroke part # 2160 w/T bar kit.

Afco's DA front shock with BNC valving performs exactly the same, and friends that have run both on their stock and super stockers say AFCO does it better.

So If you have a 68 - 72 Nova - Camaro as well a 2nd and 4th gen Camaro/Firebird like my bad azz ride which drops the nose out of the sky with barely any compression when the front tires touch down, it's Afco BNC for the win.

Mine are older QA1's that I run loose the are set on 2 from full loose.
My question would be if i would get Strange double adjustable what would be a good starting point for where to set the extension and compression.

9 from tight on rebound

4 from tight compression

I agree about the Afco shocks.

I replaced QA1 doubles on the front of my Nova with Afco doubles and QA1 singles on the rear with Afco singles. I picked up .04 in the 60ft just by changing the shocks.
