I know some people do because I have smelled it before at the track.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

I was a race or so short of making it through the season last year. So I bought half a barrel from a buddy that had that in it. If I work on the fuel system my hands smell like it. My oil smells like it even if not looking diluted. Weird stuff and unmistakable smell. Cotton candy almost smells like cake to me. And then I'm hungry.

How does that allergy affect you?

I thought it would be funny, to strain bacon grease down, good, and add that for fragrance. That would make everyone hungry.

You have to put in the effort, to get anything out of it.

It's funny that they call it that name. IMO, it doesn't smell a lick like any of the potheads I knew. They say you never forget that smell!
It kinda smells like a man's cologne to me.

Fragrances in alcohol is a really bad idea. A by product from alcohol combustion is formaldehyde. Inhalation of formaldehyde is a known/proven health risk. Making burnt alcohol smell good is simply a bad idea.

I used to be a people person, but people ruined that.

The fragrance is more of a fun thing for most. If the fumes are intense, it will still chase you off. It still stings ya. I use a respirator in the shop when the engine is running and after. And I usually don't bother with the smelly stuff.

LOL. When I was in Div 5, all the bike racers pitted together. Between rounds they would all hop on their carts or scooters and "go down to the big end". Always came back with a certain odor about them, and grins on their faces. Big Grin

I actually love the sweet smell of plain methanol when a carb is adjusted properly.
Mine, on the other hand, never smells good. It is a 2-circuit Dominator and at part throttle, (on way to/from pits) it puts out some nasty, harsh, eye-and-throat burning fumes.
I add some Wild Cherry to it, to knock the edge off, but it doesn't help much. Got the car sealed up real well, that was a big help, so most times I don't smell anything.
