I Have a 2010 TNT dragster that we put more power in and it is shaking the tires about .5-.6 seconds out. What holes are your cars 4 links in? Especially the bottom bar. What ET does it run? Thanks for any info I can get.

Well first I'd say you need to provide more details on your current combo including the tire size your running.

In general, 4 link dragsters are numb to most settings, meaning they will go down the track w/no issues with many setups!

Whomp also speaks the truth regarding those tires and dragsters. Go to any race with TD running at and you will see well over 90% of those cars running MT's Big Bubba's for a reason.

By no means do I speak for the OP, but I watched him buy just about every size, sidewall, and compound that the yellow-letter tire guy had at Great Bend.

I specifically asked if he's tried M/T, and he told me that some guys have experienced a loss in reaction time when making that change that made him hesitant to go there.

The issue I am fighting is not a tire issue. I have tried several angles at this and want to start over from scratch but don't have a baseline to make sure I have everything in the right holes. I might have found part of the issue as it appears I have the top bars in the wrong hole on rearend housing.
And yes I did make a wholesale withdrawal from the Goodyear trailer at great bend. They take very good care of me and I will be loyal because of it. I'm not against MT, they are not what I want. They will not fix a car that is setup wrong especially when I do it to myself.

It is a good idea to verify what 4 link settings others are using but also look at the tires they are running and ask why? Most all will tell you they changed to MT tires because it ended tire shake and works better.

One other thing and I am not saying this to be a smart alec but nobody can give you much good information until you tell them more about your combination. Also it could be set up right but rod ends getting worn and sloppy.

I think Dillon is the guy to talk to at TNT.

-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Doesnt really matter what brand the dragster is, like already stated "4 link setup is NOT that crucial but apparently the tire brand is? How one is so dominant and others are almost non existent today is mind boggling for me, especially after supporting one for almost 20 years. I myself dont have an issue with Hoosier, wouldnt use Goodyear if they paid me but obviously 95% of all dragsters at any big money or TD event will have a certain brand. You can keep making changes all you want or you can try a set to see what its all about. Tires arent supposed to be that critical IMO but they are.

I wasted half a season on yellow letters with my first hardtail. Car was totally untameable. Put Hoosiers on and it would make it most of the time but shook every bolt loose. Finally borrowed a set of 3186s and it went 1.01 about every pass after that with no shake.

Watching the video of the tire with the Goodyear or Hoosier you would have swore there was no way the car was ever going to make it past about 0.4 without drastic change. The Mickey just quivered, recovered, and went.

Put the big bubba on the car and try it...if you do not want to...well you can chase your a z z some more...not like it matters much to the rest of us.

Ask "whats shakin" to many that refuse to try a m/t? It's not your 4 link bars that far down the track.

If you have 3000 horsepower like JR...the Big Bubba may not be for you. 4.20's to 4.80's the Bubba is the best tire on the market for what we do. Smooth burnouts and reapeatable consistent runs, 100-200 laps to boot.

It not just with TNT cars I promise! Loyalty to tires go with the ones that work best on my cars...not how well the tire guy takes care of my credit card.
