I currently have a Dart Iron Eagle block, 4.155 bore, 400 mains, BBC cam bearings and cam raised 391". I developed on oil leak a few weeks ago and it looks like i have 3 small cracks around the rear main, this block doesn't have a place for.the oil.filter, as it has to be remote mounted.
I can see any reason for this as so far, everything looks as good as when it was assembled.
I am looking to replace the block, as I'm not sure is I trust having it welded.

Looking for options .

Thanks in advance

Heard they have Little M that now has raised cam bearings. That may be a good option and use much of your stuff.

Thanks Curly. I plan on calling Dart tomorrow. I am going to have the block dye penetrant tested, hopefully soon, just to make sure this is it is cracked. It's hard to tell if it's casting flashing or a crack.

I starting check on Brodix and Motown, but none seem to have .391" raised cam, or BBC bearings in them.

Is your Iron Eagle a tall deck or Standard? The Iron Eagle is a very good block but it is heavy especially if it is a tall deck.

Mine is a standard deck. I bought the car with the engine in it 3 years ago.

The extra weight doesn't bother me, as I don't max out my equipment.
