Fired New ProCharger Motor
This thread is for my #1 Hater Fan & SL's #1 DRR B1tch!

The motor took about 6 sec. to fire & we ran it for about 15 sec. We had 70 lbs. of oil pressure.

Tomorow morning we'll give everything a quick check. Then warm up motor & break in the lifters for 10-15 min.

Hope that it flies. Had I known what I know now when I built my first car it wouldn’t have been NA.

Hater fans are your most loyal fans.

They'll be up on the edges of their seat when you're on the starting line, 100% of the time.

Winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners.

Well done!

Thanks everyone! I always wanted a supercharged or turbo motor. Big Grin

Everything good with the 15 min. engine run this morning. The only thing I noticed was the Fuel Injection stayed in open loop & no learn for 99.9% of the time, with quick flashes of closed loop & learn.

I need to check the valve lash & check bolts after the heat soak. That will be done this afternoon. We did take a short video last night & might do another one this afternoon. That's if everything checks out. Hope to post the vid tonight or tomorrow.

Congrats on a new endeavor and successful start up. Those are always a little stressful.

In System Parameters look at what is programed in the Closed Loop/Learn Parameters registers and General Setting Choices.

1st, markemark I appreciate you always taking time to help other's & myself; Thank-You!

I took some screen shots of what you recommended. Sorry, for the crappy photos. They look good on the phone, but not so good after being saved.

Not having very good luck posting the video. My son sent it to me on Facebook & I got it saved on my PC. I tried loading it on Imgur, but they have a 60 sec. limit. Then I went back & tried to edit/shorten vid with no luck. I'm done with it for now. Red Face Mad

The motor does sound B1tching with a little boost while rapping the throttle. We saw about 5 lbs. of boost before 4,000 rpm & this is with the big blower pulley. I still hope to launch on the least amount of boost; hopefully only 1 or 2 lbs.

Mike,

I hope this works & hated putting it on Facebook. This is a very fat base tune & it's staying in open loop/no learn. The rpms didn't go over 4K.

When attached to Holley download the GCF from the ECU and then save it as a different name.

Open the Fuel Section and select the Learn Table. Are there areas in Green with +/- numbers? If yes then Closed Loop Learn appears to be working. It’s following the Target A/F Ratio Map.

This table will load to your fuel map every time you cycle the ignition On.

I did check the learn table when I ran it & the majority of numbers were -20/-30 & there was about 4 blocks were very low + numbers. I just checked it now & it's all blank, so it must of transferred to the fuel map. All I know, the plugs were very sooty black.

Be careful running rich for any length of time on a fresh engine.
Gas washing the cylinders and ruining ring seal is a good possibility.
