That said, combination of my 4” bs Delta wheels with 1/4” spacers and Hoosier BR3 works on the track and in the trailer.

I agree there, I have seen the cast spacers split and come a part

JR, you said you have the smaller rotor but have said you use the TBM pad. Do you have to modify it all?

We have these threads on brakes and pads lately. It looks like Mike Holcomb lost his brakes went off the end at 180 tonight in San Antonio. Thankfully he is OK. I was considering getting rid of my handbrake for a hot minute. This re-affirms my decision to keep it.
No modifications for TBM PADS

Thanks Whomp. If I already had M/W brakes and bought the Deltas, I would get the spacer. I am buying new so easier to just buy the smaller kit and be done.

If y'all are splitting spacers you are having other issues...cast or not...ours are (shiny and smooth) possibly Hoosier tire shake combined with 2000 plus horsepower?

We make chit loads of passes with average bracket cars and have never split a spacer. THOUSANDS of runs. They put these same wheel spacers on circle track cars that have Massive side loads...they sell many of them without issue.

The smaller rotor makes more heat...but work well too...just our experiences over many years of use and many more passes than most.

So if you were in my shoes, already have Deltas and buying new M/W brakes. Would you buy the standard kit and run the 1/4 spacer or go with the smaller kit. In my mind bigger is always better....

I would use the spacer...bigger is better with brakes IMO.

If your not at peace with a cheap spacer...MW sells them for a reason eh?

The 3/8" smaller rotors do not make more heat.

Get the facts and the truth from Mark Williams about their products.

Oh and my lunch yesterday was $23 and my Hoosier tires have never shook. Big Grin

Nothing wrong with spacers, nothing wrong with grinding on the calipers period. Don't make more out of it than it is.

Carry on!

Smh 1050 hp couldn't shake a tire...make 47 laps in one weekend on 1 car...those brakes will be hot...experience not sales.

my head doesn't shake and neither do my tires with 1111 HP behind my driver and the rotors don't make heat regardless of their diameter, they dissipate heat. ZERO loss in braking performance going from Mark Williams standard 11 3/4" rotors to their 11 3/8" rotors. First hand experience not sales.

Smaller rotor dissipates less heat. Common sense not sales.

So you come on this thread to make a irrelevant comment?

This thread is informative to me which is why I started it. I do run Deltas and will be buying all new M/W brakes. Ed, JR, Chris and Whomp all run or have run Deltas with M/W brakes so I appreciate their input.

Ed, you're a infantile child in a mans body.

This is your admission none of your posts are relevant, and nobody had to even mention your name.
