How often do you guys change your wheel studs? I bought a pair of used Mark Williams axles (20+ years ago) and they have the original 5/8 studs in them. Thinking they me be due to be changed. Car is slow, 6.40 piece, but I do run wheel spacers. 72 Nova "Hooptie"

No good answer, except your own thoughts. I have used a pair of Strange axles in a car that varied in HP from 700 to 1000 ant different weights from 2550 to 2850 average. They never broke. I succumbed to the urge and replaced them and still 1050 to 1150 and no issues. The originals with 1/2 inch studs were becoming a problem, 1/2 studs (lug nuts) were killing the wheels. New axles with 5/8 and still 1000-1100 hp @still 2850+/- And the 5/8 studs are just fine. Leave that **** alone at your level.

The 7/16” in the front get 65, and the 1/2” rears are 85. Just as specified by Weld on the long shank nuts. Tony Leonard
