Have had few recommend facet pumps PN 40176 for prim er pump running alky.

Cpl questions. What are you running jetting wise or nozzles? What pressure are you getting? How durable?

I have a tube running thru enderle injector front to rear in center ot back to pressure gauge.Have 8 .027 holes. Easy to change and drill less or slightly bigger holes. Plan is to connect pump to bar, fire car off, maybe idle to line and build heat then hit regular system. Also if running hot hit it for little extra cooling(richen system). See any issues?

Maybe it was just me, but i had two of those that i tried to prime using alky. Both quit soon as pump was turned on. First one i figured was a fluke, so i tried another. Same result. Ended up using a real fuel pump for a while until I build my own gas primer/idle set up. Got another facet pump and it has worked for several years on gas.

I know two people who have used them and they worked for them. I tried one and could not get it to work. Not sure if it was too low of pressure or volume but did not work for me all of the ways I tried it.

Works great on gas, mine is probably 15 years old.

Maybe good thing I hesitated on pulling trigger last night. Need one that works with alky and if questionable I would rather spend little extra than spend twice.

I have had mine on the car for about 12 years and I race with 3 or 4 other people that use them. all of us run methanol.

Sr4440,

You by chance know number on your pump. I have gotten about 50/50 on these pumps and thinking its difference in which pump being used. As we all know alky does require different components than gas on most parts and pieces.

We will bypass what would be needed if going to use pump when there is some fun yellow fuel in the alky. Thinking about adding a old fire bottle as tank for primer system just for that reason and added benefit of having a way to wash down system when running the mixed fuel.

This is a link to the one I'm running. Pegasus carries a selection of all their pumps.

Note that it says up to and including E-85 so maybe you just need to run a bit of top lube in the methanol. That should do it I would think. Good luck!

Applications list E85,not 100% sure that means they would work with straight alky. Will have to check on them. Thanks Curtis
