Winch mount and/or rewinding question
I currently have my winch mounted straight to the car and I am having no issues.
Also I use a nylon rope instead of a wire cable.

I need to relocate it off to the side and use a pully to redirect it. My concern is will it rewind on the winch as it should and not rewind on one end and jump off the drum?
Any issues or fixes?

Thanks
Dave

A question comes to mind. If the pulley is centered on the spool of the winch wouldn't it be no different than what the winch sees now? I haven't done this specific set up but what makes it spool back and forth as it is now?

I guess maybe the shorter distance from the winch to the pulley might make it react differently, I'm not sure. Just spit balling here.

Ours has the nylon rope & mounted off to the side using a pulley. No issues with ours winding & un-winding.
