Looking for some good fuel jugs that don't leak. The last few vp fuel jugs I have bought seem to leak around the cap when your filling your fuel cell. Don't mind paying for a good fuel jug but hate wasting my money on some of the junk fuel jugs you get now days.
What are people using and having good luck out of. Mostly that don't leak.

Jaz jugs are the best but most jobbers don't want to pay the premium to ship them from cali.
I been using VP jugs for at least 10 years and haven't had one leak

I second the jazz jugs. We have close to a dozen around, most of which are 20+ years old.

Mark, How much do the Renegade jugs with just the cap on weigh empty?
The fuel jugs I bought from Jegs in 2006 weigh 4.5 lbs. I’m looking at jugs now that list the weight 1 lb less. I’m not buying it.This message has been edited. Last edited by: markemark,

Ed I had some older ones and never had any problems. I have bought 6 different ones over last year and every one of them will start leaking after a month. Leaks around the top of the cap.

My newest VP jug was purchased in early 2019 and does not leak. So if the newer jugs are leaking now, either the manufacturer or the process has changed and they are most likely made in China. I’ll be buying 6 new jugs before the start of next season, either Jaz or Sunoco’s and anyone wanting 4 VP non leak jugs can find mine in the garbage at Numidia Dragway on the opening weekend next year.

These Scribner jugs are the best I have used. The cap is the heaviest of any I have seen or used before so they won't crack if someone over tightens them.

^^^ X2, Curtis. Bought 2, was so impressed I bought 2 more and gave away my old ones. And yes, cap looks like a truck could drive over it and not do any damage. I like to keep the caps on my alky jugs very tight.

Some of my jugs are 20 years old. When they leak at the cap I put a new o-ring in or buy a new cap. The caps are bad to get brittle and crack. Locally most are buying their new jugs at Rural King for the best price.
