I don't know how many of you have seen these push button latches but they work great. They even offer them to use in place of Dzus fasteners. That might get expensive to replace something that already works but if you have something you remove often they would be awesome. I have my trunk lid off each round to fuel the car and plan on replacing those Dzus fasteners with these.

I have a breather that I made myself and had a ss cap nut and washer on it before machining it to use one of these. Here is the website.

Had a friend think they were the greatest, had them installed when he had his paint work done. First or second pass the hood was parasailing.
I read the instructions on install and if I remember correctly it said to keep the factory latch.

Disclaimer:

All vehicles that Quik-Latch are installed on must have the Factory or other safety catch. Failure

to have safety latch may cause hood to come up while driving. Before driving vehicle make sure

that button is flush with the body to insure that latch is in the engaged position.
